Mercs "Star Fest 2013" Invasion Debriefing

Invasion Location: "Star Fest 2013" -Denver, CO (USA)

Clan Involved: Cerar Clan
Mission Objective: Mission to promote the Mandalorian Mercs costuming club at one the Colorado's largest Sci-fi and Fantasy Conventions and to provide entertainment for attendees.

Invasion Report: The Cerar Clan of the Mandalorian Mercs Costuming Club invaded the annual Sci-Fi and Fantasy convention with greater numbers from previous years. A table was set up and provided many in attendance the opportunity to talk to fellow Star Wars fans and to learn how to become members. Recruitment was advocated, but fun and relaxation were the primary goal of the three days. Shifts were taken by official members and members close to being official. Many new members interacted with the clan in armor for the first time. Many new members should be official soon, as their paper work is near completion.

It was grand weekend for Star Wars fans; besides the many celebrities in attendance clan members and con attendees met great Star Wars writers Timothy Zahn and Christie Golden. Other Star Wars groups besides the Cerar Clan in attendance included The 501st Mountain Garrison , The Rebel Legion Mountain Base, The Rocky Mountain Fan Force and The R2 Builders Club.

A clan meal was done at a local Tex- Mex restaurant Garcia's on Saturday night as well as the usual social events of dancing and merriment. Clan members interacted on a less formal basis, creating greater camaraderie within the clan, while enjoying great food.
