Mercs "Relay for Life" Invasion Debriefing

Invasion Location: Relay for Life – Masconomet Regional High School, MA (USA)

Mission Objective: To help raise money for the American Cancer Society

Invasion Report: Ver'alor and Ruus'alor of Firaxan got a chance to dust off their rank ropes at the Relay for Life in Topsfield. The first obstacle was the sweltering heat from the un-obscured sun, then later came the dew that got just about everything dripping wet. The two Mercs took laps in honor of cancer survivors and current fighters as well as posed for pictures and offered up their gear to those who would donate a few bucks for the cause. The Mercs even hosted a "blast a trooper," although most attendees were clearly too intimidated to take up the offer, as no one gave it a go.

Perhaps most impressive was the unabashed swag the two had as songs like Gangam Style and Super Freak were played and both Mercs dropped what they were doing to show off some moves. A Zumba line was among the victims of their dancing. All in all, money was raised for the American Cancer Society and the Mercs helped the event reach a total donation of $82,074.02. Oya!
