Mercs "Denver Comic Con '13" Invasion Debriefing

Clans Involved: Cerar Clan
Mission Objective: To promote the club and find new recruits, all while having fun and raising money for Make-A-Wish and for Noah's Miracle.

Invasion Report: Mercs invaded from Colorado and the surrounding areas, taking over the Colorado Convention Center. Cerar Clan worked alongside our brothers and sisters in the 501st, Rebel Legion, R2 Builders, and Rocky Mountain Fan Force to help raise money for two charities. The Clan helped with donated toy sales and the Blast-a-Trooper tent to help raise money for Noah's Miracle as well as an auction for Make-A-Wish. Together, the groups raised almost $10,000 over 3 days for these two charities.

The Clan was lucky enough to be a part of what is now being called "The Star Wars Experience at Denver Comic Con". This is a joint effort between local fan groups to offer a variety of activities for children, families and fans including Blast-a-Trooper, photo ops with a green screen area and other events.

This is Denver Comic Con's second year, organized by the non-profit group Comic Book Classroom. They again smashied all projected expectations for attendance, sales, charities and participation. Attendance this year was in excess of 58,000 people and Cerar Clan continues to grow by leaps and bounds due to our participation and the effort of the clan members.
