Mercs "Central Texas College 4th Annual Geekfest" Invasion Debriefing

Invasion Location: " Central Texas College 4th Annual Geekfest " – Killeen, TX (USA)
Date: August 16-18, 2013
Clans Involved: Zakkeg Clan and Arqet Clan
Mission Objective: Here is where the goal of the event goes. Conventions would be about Merc/club diplomacy while
other events would have a more charity-based objective.

Invasion Report: Members of both Zakkeg Clan and Arqet Clan rallied together in order to take part in the 4th Annual Geekfest event at Central Texas College. Costumed members and handlers alike took part in spreading awareness and information about Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club. Even with increased security regarding prop weapons, Members and attendees alike still had a phenomenal time. Mercs members helped to raise a total of $134 for the Little Warrior International fund through a raffle drawing for hand done paintings by Lovebug along with an "Enforcer" style Mando helmet.

Members of Zakkeg Clan also participated in two different panels for the event. The first session was an hour long showcase of armor creation to meet Club CRLs, a slideshow, and a Q&A. Massive interest was garnered and invitations to weekly armor parties were given. The second panel was geared towards helping children create their very own origami Jango/Boba Fett helmets and met with equal success of the previous panel with children and parents alike.
