Mercs "Central Coast Comic Con" Invasion Report

Mission Objective: To supply some Mandalorian muscle to this inaugural event and give the central California coast fans an opportunity to see what the Mandalorian Mercs are all about.

Invasion Report: When the organizers for the Central Coast Comic Convention were first putting their plans for the event into motion, they reached out to the Manda'galaar clan of the Mandalorian Mercs. Having seen the clan at the Wondercon Anaheim event, and all the joy and smiles Manda'galaar and the Mercs brought to the fans and attendees of that event, they knew the Mercs were the right organization to invite to the Central Coast Comic Con.

Manda'galaar did not disappoint. Partnering the event organizers and Mandalorian Mercs to raise awareness for the first comic and pop culture event to take part in the Ventura, California area since 2002 was the right decision. Manda'galaar showed up in force by having 6 members on each day of the event. Most of whom braved the dreaded Los Angeles traffic to head north to the little beach town.

Fans were thrilled to see the Mandalorians and a constant stream of attendees flooded the Mercs booth and the surrounding booths in what was affectionately dubbed "Star Wars Alley". Outside of the main exhibition hall doors, was the lawn area that served as the lobby. This was an extremely welcome change from most cons as it was considerably cooler and offered the Mercs a great place to stay cool while still being in armor and pose for a variety of pics for both fans and photographers.

While it was the first year for this event, judging by guest attendance alone, the event was a huge success. The Manda'galaar clan looks forward to working with the event coordinator again and hopefully turning this little con into a yearly event.
