    El guión para la película fue escrito por Arthur C. Clarke y Hyams
    A pesar de no contar con la calidad visual de su antecesora 2001 estrenada en 1968, el desarrollo de la historia y sus personajes la mantiene fuerte.
    Una película altamente recomendable.
