Mercs "Star Wars Reads Day" Invasion Debriefing

Mission Objective: To promote reading through Star Wars.


Invasion Report: On Saturday, 5 October 2013, the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club once again heeded the call to promote reading through Star Wars. In all, 16 clans, one squad and three factions of the Freelancer's guild had a total of 63 members invade 31 different venues in 25 different cities around the United States for the second annual Star Wars Reads Day! In all, many photographs were taken, lots of books were read and many thousand people were entertained by the sight of the costumers.

The following participated: Clans: Falco, Rancor, Firestorm, Murraan, Nexu, Blue Moon, Buurenaar Verda, Cerar, Manda'galaar, Wampa, Five-O, Bes'uliik, Skirata, Firaxan, Mav Oya'la, Naast Squad Warriors of the Red Freelancers Guild.

They participated in the following locations: Holmdel, NJ; Wausau, WI; Anchorage, AK; Vestal, NY; Hamilton, OH; Virginia Beach, VA; Longview, TX; Grand Forks, ND; Peoria, IL; Bloomington, IL; Elizabethtown, KY; Ocala, FL; Orange Park, FL; Oviedo, FL; Jensen Beach, FL; Brandenton, FL; Panama City, FL; Colorado Springs, CO; Riverside, CA; Camarillo, CA; Bangor, ME; Aiea, HI; Clarksville, TN; Palm Desert, CA; Burlington, VT; Monessen, PA; Marietta, GA.

And at the following venues: Public Libraries: Marathon County, Grand Forks, Bloomington, Riverside, Camarillo, Aiea, Manatee County, Monessen. Bookstores: 13 Barnes and Nobles, six Books-a-Million, Briar Patch, Phoenix, and Castle Blood.
